5 half round wood beads about 1 1/8 in. (28 mm) in diameter, with center holes at least 3/8 in. (10 mm) 3 metal binder rings, about 2 1/4 in. (6 cm) in diameter Craft glue

INSTRUCTIONS



NECKLACE
Note: To wrap beads and binder rings, cut 24 in.

(61 cm) lengths of yarn.



Beads (make 1 each with A, B, C, D, and F)
Glue end of yarn to any point on wood bead.

Allow glue to dry.

Wrap yarn around bead, going through center hole, until entire bead has been wrapped.

Allow glue to dry, then trim yarn ends.



Rings (make 1 each with D, E, and F)
First Ring
Glue end of F to any point on one closed binder ring.

Allow glue to dry.

*Wrap yarn once around ring from front to back to create a loop, pass yarn underneath loop and pull to tighten; repeat from * until entire ring has been wrapped.

Apply a small amount of glue to ring at last loop of yarn.

Allow glue to dry, then trim yarn ends.
Second Ring
Open second binder ring.

Beginning at ring opening, wrap with E in the same way as first ring, but before finishing wraps interlock second ring onto first.


Third Ring
Open third binder ring and wrap with D in the same way as second ring, slip the C wrapped bead onto third ring before interlocking it with second ring.



Cord
Cut 3 lengths each of C, D, E and F, each about 36 in.

(91.5 cm) long.

Knot strands together at one end over F wrapped ring.

Divide strands into 3 groups of 4 strands each, and braid loosely.

Hold strands together at remaining end of braid, but do not knot.



FINISHING
Slide remaining 4 wrapped beads onto braid.

Wrap end of braid over C wrapped bead and knot.

Apply a small amount of glue to knot.

Allow glue to dry, then trim yarn ends.
