EXACT GAUGE IS NOT ESSENTIAL FOR THIS PROJECT. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.
1. The instructions provided in the loom manual for casting on are the same for both flat knitting and knitting in the round (when you make a tube).
These instructions are listed under the heading of SINGLE KNITTING.
2. Once you've cast on for the Hat, continue knitting in a clockwise direction around loom for single knitting in the round.
3. Contrasting color peg is used to mark the beginning of each round for the Hat.
4. Once you've cast on for the Scarf, work back and forth for Single Knitting.
5. Scarf is knit on only one side of the loom.
