Warp is set up between 23 small pegs placed across each short end of loom - every hole in 12-hole piece, every hole in 6-hole piece, 2 holes in one corner piece, 3 holes in second corner piece.

Weft is woven across the remaining 53 small pegs along each long side.

Four rectangles are woven for Scarf.

Each rectangle is woven using the same warp and each rectangle has the same number of rows.


INSTRUCTIONS



Loom Configuration
Use the following pieces: (2) 36-hole pieces, (4) 12-hole pieces, (4) corner pieces, (2) 6-hole pieces.
Connect pieces to form a rectangle as follows: 36-hole piece > 12-hole piece > corner piece > 12-hole piece > 6-hole piece > corner piece > 36-hole piece > 12 hole piece > corner piece > 12-hole piece > 6-hole piece > corner piece.



Insert a small peg into every hole around: 162 pegs placed, 23 for warp and 53 for weft.



SCARF
Rectangle 1
Note: Follow loom manual instructions on WEAVING for how to set up the warp, weave the weft, and remove weaving from the loom.
Set up the warp across the 23 small pegs placed across each end as follows:
5 pegs with A, 5 pegs with B, 13 pegs with A.
Weave the weft as follows:
34 rows with A
2 rows with C
17 rows with A
Following loom manual instructions, remove Rectangle 1 from loom.



Rectangle 2
Set up warp same as for Rectangle 1.
Weave the weft as follows:
1 row with A
4 rows with D
9 rows with A
3 rows with C
10 rows with A
2 rows with B
1 row with D
4 rows with B
8 rows with A
2 rows with D
4 rows with C
5 rows with A
Following loom manual instructions, remove Rectangle 2 from loom.



Rectangle 3
Set up warp same as for Rectangle 1.
Weave the weft as follows:
3 rows with B
4 rows with D
7 rows with A
2 rows with C
9 rows with A
7 rows with D
15 rows with C
3 rows with B
3 rows with A
Following loom manual instructions, remove Rectangle 3 from loom.



Rectangle 4
Set up warp same as for Rectangle 1.
Weave the weft as follows:
6 rows with D
5 rows with C
4 rows with A
7 rows with C
4 rows with B
14 rows with D
3 rows with A
2 rows with B
3 rows with A 5 rows with C
Following loom manual instructions, remove Rectangle 4 from loom.



FINISHING
Sew short ends of Rectangles together in numerical order, matching the warp colors, to make Scarf.

Weave in ends.
