Additional Materials
Circular knitting needle size 9 (5.5 mm), 36 in. (91.5 cm) long
GAUGE:
16 1/2 sts + 24 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Seed Rib pattern. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Making a Gauge Swatch
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

1.

Circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of sts on the Back and on the front bands.

Work back and forth on the circular needle as if working on straight needles.

2.

All pieces are worked from the lower edge up to the neck edge.

3.

Raglan armholes are shaped on each piece by working decreases.

4.

After raglan seams are sewn, collar is worked from stitches picked up around neck edge.

5.

Topper was designed without buttons.

If you would like to close the Topper at center front, we suggest a shawl pin.
