GAUGE:
11 sts = about 4 in. (10 cm). EXACT GAUGE IS NOT ESSENTIAL FOR THIS PROJECT. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Making a Gauge Swatch
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

NOTES:
1. Follow loom manual instructions for SINGLE KNITTING for how to cast on, knit, bind off and change color.
2. Cowl is knit on only one side of the loom.

Loom is configured into an oval to accommodate the large number of stitches.
3. Small pegs are only used to hold loom together.

Do not knit onto small pegs.
4. Cowl is knit as a rectangle, then seamed together.

INSTRUCTIONS

Insert 34 large pegs into every other hole along one long side and semi-circular pieces of assembled loom - 34 working pegs placed.

COWL
Following loom manual instructions, with A, cast onto all working pegs.
Row 1: Knit.
Repeat Row 1 until piece measures about 22 in.
