GAUGE:
1 ripple = about 3 in. (7.5 cm) with 1 strand of A and 2 strands of C held together. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Making a Gauge Swatch
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

STITCH EXPLANATION:
sc2tog (sc 2 sts together) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop.

Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop.

Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook – 1 st decreased.

NOTES:
1.

This project is worked in a ripple crochet pattern.

The ripple pattern is easy to do, but it's important to remember that you may need to work several rows before the ripple pattern becomes clear.

2.

Clutch is worked with 3 strands held together throughout.

Work with the strand at the center of each ball AND the strand from the outside of the same ball or wind each ball of yarn into 2 separate balls before beginning.

3.

To change color, work last st of old color to last yarn over.

Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops to complete st.

Fasten off old color.

4.

Work over yarn ends of old color or weave in ends as you go.
