GAUGE:
4 half double crochet stitches = about 4 in. (10 cm). EXACT GAUGE IS NOT ESSENTIAL FOR THIS PROJECT.
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

NOTES:
1.

Scarf is worked with 2 strands of yarn held together, 1 strand of each of the 2 colors.

2.

The chain 2 at the beginning of each row counts as a stitch and should be counted when you are counting your stitches at the end of each row.

Take care not to work a half double crochet into the first stitch of each row (at the base of the chain 2), this would cause the total number of stitches in a row to increase.

Work the last stitch of each row into the top of the beginning chain 2 of the previous row.

INSTRUCTIONS

SCARF With one strand each of A and B held together, chain 8.

Row 1: Half double crochet in 3rd chain from hook and each chain across - 7 stitches at the end of this row (don't forget the beginning 2 chain counts as a stitch).

Row 2: Chain 2 (counts as a stitch), turn, skip the first half double crochet, half double crochet in each half double crochet across, half double crochet in top of the beginning chain 2.

Repeat Row 2 until almost all of the yarns have been used.

Fasten off.

FINISHING Weave in ends.
