Additional Materials

GAUGE:
16 sc = 4 in. (10 cm). When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Making a Gauge Swatch
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

STITCH EXPLANATION:
sc2tog (sc 2 sts together) (Insert hook in next st and draw up a loop) twice, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook – 1 st decreased.

NOTES:
1.

Each Bootie is worked in one piece beg at back of sole.

2.

Sole and top of foot are worked in rows.

Side and cuff are worked in rnds.

Do not turn unless instructed to do so.

3.

Sts of some rnds/rows are worked through the back loops or front loops only.

If back loops or front loops are not specified, this means you should work the sts through both loops.

4.

When working top of foot do not ch 1 at the beg of rows.

5.

To change color, work last st of old color to last yarn over.

Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops to complete st.

Fasten off old color only when instructed.

When working sides and cuff, carry color not in use up the WS.
