GAUGE:
Rnds 1-4 = 5 x 5 in. (12.5 x 12.5 cm) square. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Making a Gauge Swatch
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

NOTES:
1.

A Center Square is worked first, then Panels 1 and 2 are worked across 2 side edges of the Center Square.

Panels 3 and 4 are worked across the remaining edges.

2.

The Center Square is worked in rnds with RS facing at all times.

Do not turn at end of rnds.

3.

To change color, work last st of old color to the last yarn over.

Yarn over with the new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete st.

Fasten off old color.
