GAUGE:
7 sc + 8 rows = about 4 in. (10 cm). 1 Block = about 16 x 16 in. (40.5 x 40.5 cm). When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Making a Gauge Swatch
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

NOTES:
1.

Afghan is made from 6 Blocks.

Blocks are sewed together following Assembly Diagram then a Border is worked around the outside edge.

2.

Each Block begins with a Center Square then Logs are worked around the outer edges of the Center Square.

Follow Block Diagram for arrangement of Logs.

3.

To change color, work last st of old color to last yarn over.

Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops to complete the st.

Fasten off old color.
