Yarn is made into Braids and Twisted Cords to make the Bracelet.

Do not cut any of the long strands used to make the Twisted Cords and Braids until instructed.


INSTRUCTIONS



BRACELET Braid Cut a 4 in.

(10 cm) strand of A and set aside.

Cut 9 strands of A, each about 70 in.

(178 cm) long.

Hold all 9 strands together, fold in half, then tie into an overhand knot about 1 in.

(2.5 cm) below the fold to form a loop.Divide strands into 3 groups of 6 strands each and braid for about 7 1/2 in.

(19 cm).

Wrap the 4 in.

(10 cm) strand around strands at end of Braid and knot to secure.

Do not trim ends.



Thin Twisted Cord Cut a 4 in.

(10 cm) strand of B and set aside.

Cut 3 strands of B, each about 50 in.

(127 cm) long.

Knot strands together about 5 in.

(13 cm) from each end.

Tie one end to a doorknob and slip a pencil or chopstick through the other end.



Turn the pencil or chopstick to twist the strands clockwise until they are tightly twisted.

Keeping the strands taut, fold piece in half.

Wrap 4 in.

(10 cm) strand tightly around ends of all strands and knot to secure.

Untie the knots at ends of Twisted Cord, but do not trim ends.



Thick Twisted CordCut a 4 in.

(10 cm) strand of B and set aside.

Cut 6 strands of B each about 50 in.

(127 cm) long.

Work same as Thin Twisted Cord.



FINISHINGCut an 8 in.

(20.5 cm) strand of A and thread into blunt needle.

Draw yarn through folded end of Thin and Thick Twisted Cords and sew both to Braid at base of beginning overhand knot (below loop).



Cut a 4 in.

(10 cm) strand of A and set aside.

Loosely braid Twisted Cords and Braid for about 7 in.

(18 cm).

Wrap A strand around ends, knot tightly to secure.

Do not trim yarn ends, untwist ends of Thick Twisted Cord.



Cut 2 strands of B each about 4 in.

(10 cm) long and set aside.

Divide the 12 loose strands of B (from Thick Twisted Cord) into 3 groups of 4 strands each and braid for about 2 in.

(5 cm).

Wrap and tie one B strand around end of Braid.

Do not trim loose ends of Braid.

Draw Braid through beginning loop of A Braid and fold over.

Wrap remaining 4 in.

(10 cm) strand of B around ends and knot to secure.

Do not trim loose ends of Braid.



Thread remaining yarn ends (3-4 at a time) into blunt needle, wrap tightly around Bracelet and draw ends under yarn wraps to hide.



Cut a 30 in.

(76 cm) strand of A and thread into blunt needle.

Wrap tightly around yarn wraps just made to hide all knots and ends.
