Additional Materials
Circular knitting needle size 11 (8 mm), 40 in. (101.5 cm) long One button about 7/8 in. (22 mm) diameter
GAUGE:
10 sts + 14 rows = about 4 in. (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS) with larger needles. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Making a Gauge Swatch
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

STITCH EXPLANATION:
kfb (knit in front and back) Knit next st without removing it from left needle, then k through back of same st - 1 st increased.

MB (Make Bobble) (K1, yo, k1, yo) all in next st, turn, p4, turn, k4, pass first, 2nd and 3rd st worked over last st.

w&t (wrap and turn) - A technique used to ensure that a small hole doesn't form at the end of a short row.

1.

Slip next st as if to purl.

2.

Bring yarn between needles to front.

Take care not to wrap the yarn over a needle, this would create a new st.

3.

Slip same st back to left needle.

4.

Turn work and bring yarn between needles to front, in position for next st.

This will place a wrap around the st.

5.

The next time you knit this st on a RS row, pick up the wrap and knit it tog with the st.

NOTES:
1.

Top is worked in one piece.

Lower body is worked from side to side then stitches are picked up to work the upper back and fronts.

2.

Short rows are used to shape the lower body.

When working short rows, not all sts are worked on every row.

Turn when instructed.

3.

The wrap and turn technique (w&t) is used when working short rows to prevent holes from forming at the end of short rows.
