GAUGE:
1 ripple = about 4 in. (10 cm) and 10 rows = about 6 1/2 in. (16.5 cm) with middle-size hook. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Making a Gauge Swatch
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

NOTES:
1.

Poncho is made from 2 identical pieces: Back and Front.

Each piece is worked from neck edge down to lower edge.

2.

This project is worked in a ripple crochet pattern.

The ripple pattern is easy to do, but it's important to remember that you may need to work several rows before the ripple pattern becomes clear.

3.

Color is changed every row, alternating rows worked with Heartland and rows worked with Vanna's Glamour.

4.

Color is changed by fastening off old color, leaving a long tail to be included in fringe, and joining the new color at the beg of the next row.

5.

Largest hook is used for working foundation ch only, to ensure that the foundation ch is not too tight.
