GAUGE:
13 sts + 21 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (k every row) When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Making a Gauge Swatch
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

NOTES:
1.

Cowl is made up of 16 Triangles worked in modular fashion.

Triangle 1 is worked first and sts for all following Triangles are picked up along edge of previous Triangle.

2.

Cast-on edge of Triangle 1 is sewed to side edge of Triangle 16 to make Cowl, then sts for the edging are picked up around each long edge.

INSTRUCTIONS

Knit 1 row.

Next Row (RS): K to last 3 sts, k2tog, p1.
