GAUGE:
12 sc + 12 rows = about 4 in. (10 cm) with B. One Granny Square = about 4 1/2 in. (11.5 cm). When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Making a Gauge Swatch
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

NOTES:
1.

Sweater is worked in 2 pieces: Back and Underpiece.

Each piece is made from Granny Squares that are crocheted together following diagrams.

Rows of sc and hdc are worked across one edge of each piece to form a shaped top section.

2.

Back and Underpiece are sewn tog to make Sweater, leaving openings for legs.
