GAUGE:
15 sts + 30 rows = about 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (k every row). When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Making a Gauge Swatch
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

NOTES:
1.

Sweater is worked in 2 pieces, Back and Underpiece.

2.

Pieces are seamed, leaving openings for legs.

3.

Both pieces are worked in Garter st (k every row) and intarsia colorwork.

4.

Use a separate ball of yarn for each section of color.

Do not carry unused yarn across WS of work.

Twist yarns on WS at each color change to prevent holes.

5.

Wind each color of yarn into 3 (4, 5) separate balls before beg.

6.

Colorwork can be worked from written instructions or Charts.

When working from charts, read RS rows from right to left and WS rows from left to right.

7.

Trim is worked around neck, leg openings and lower edge.
