GAUGE:
One Large Square = about 10 1/2 x 10 1/2 in. (26.5 x 26.5 cm). One Medium Square = about 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 in. (13.5 x 13.5 cm). One Small Square = about 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 in. (7 x 7 cm). When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Making a Gauge Swatch
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

STITCH EXPLANATION:
TECHNIQUE EXPLANATION Adjustable Ring Method Wrap yarn around index finger.

Insert hook into yarn ring on finger, yarn over and draw up a loop.

Carefully slip ring from finger and work the stitches of Rnd 1 (in pattern, below) into the ring.

When Rnd 1 is complete, gently but firmly, pull tail to tighten center of ring.
