GAUGE:
13 sts + 24 rows = about 4 in. (10 cm) in Seed st. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Making a Gauge Swatch
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

NOTES:
1.

Vest is worked in one piece to armholes, then divided for fronts and back.

2.

The stitch used to make this vest is Seed st.

Seed st is reversible, so there is no wrong side on this Vest.

3.

The collar is worked in one piece with the Vest.

4.

A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of sts.

Work back and forth on circular needle as if working on straight needles.
