Rnd 1: Work 8 sc in first ch; place a marker to indicate beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.

Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around – you will have 16 sc at the end of this rnd.

Rnd 3: *2 Sc in next sc, sc in next sc; rep from * around – 24 sc.

Rnd 4: *2 Sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc; rep from * around – 32 sc.

Rnd 5: *2 Sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc; rep from * around – 40 sc.

Rnd 6: *2 Sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc; rep from * around – 48 sc.

Change to B.

Rnd 7: With B, sc in each sc around.

Change to C.

Rnd 8: With C, sc in each sc around.

Change to D.

BEAK With G, ch 2.

Fasten off, leaving a long yarn tail.

WINGS (make 2) With D, ch 3.

Row 1: Work 4 hdc in first ch.

Row 2: Ch 2, turn, work 2 hdc in each st across – 8 sts.

Fasten off, leaving a long yarn tail.

FINISHING Push stem of one safety eye through center of one crocheted eye.

Following package directions, attach eyes to Owl.

Stuff the body firmly then, with yarn tail, sew top of body closed.

Sew Beak between eyes, sew a Wing to each side of body.
