Big Granny Square Afghan

Lion Brand® Homespun® - Chenille Thick & Quick®

GAUGE:

Rnd 1 should measure 3¼" x 3¼" (8.25 cm) using larger hook and 2 strands of Homespun.
8 sts = 4" (10 cm); 4 rnds border = 4½" with smaller hook and 1 strand Chenille Thick & Quick. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Big Granny Square Afghan Reviewed by Vijaya on 2009-05-13 *****
I really love this pattern! It was my first Afghan and I really liked that it was completed in a couple of days! (Days off of course!)
This pattern makes something as traditional as an afghan modern and trendy.
It's an heirloom I will be proud to pass down!
