GAUGE:
10 double crochet = 4 inches (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

INSTRUCTIONS



SCARF 1. With A, ch 228. Row 1 Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across - 225 dc. Fasten off A, turn. 2. To make a shorter (70") scarf, chain 175. After first row, continue on 171 double crochet stitches. work. Row 2 Join next color to last dc of previous row with slip st. Ch 3, dc in each dc across. Fasten off, turn. work. Repeat Row 2 to complete Stripe Sequence above. Fasten off. Fringe Cut 18" lengths of each color. Attach fringe to short ends of scarf, matching colors and incorporating beginning
