GAUGE:
4 sc = 3" [7.5 cm] with A on larger hook. 8 sc = 3" [7.5 cm] with B on smaller hook. 4 rows = 4" [10 cm] with A and B in pattern. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Making a Gauge Swatch
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

STITCH EXPLANATION:
Base ch/sc Start with a slip knot, ch 2, insert hook in second ch from hook, draw up a loop, yo, draw through 1 loop, yo and draw through 2 loops.

There is now 1 sc with its own ch at the bottom.

Work the next st under the loops of that ch.

Insert hook under 2 loops at the bottom of the previous st, draw up a loop, yo and draw through 1 loop, yo and draw through 2 loops.

Repeat for the length of foundation.

dtr (double treble crochet) Yarn over 3 times, insert hook into next stitch, yo and pull up a loop - 5 loops on hook.

(Yo, pull through 2 loops) 4 times to complete the stitch.

dtr2tog (double treble crochet 2 together) In same sc just worked, work dtr until 2 loops remain, skip next 2 sc, dtr in next sc until 3 loops remain on hook, yo and draw through all 3 loops on hook.

NOTES:
Moebius is a rectangle, given a half twist and joined at the ends.

When joining yarn, leave approximately 12" [30.5 cm] long tails for tying scarf ends tog, forming "streamers".
