GAUGE:

10 sts = 4 inches [10 cm]; 8 rows = 5 inches [13 cm] in pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

I am making this in fiesta and it is going very quickly and is gorgeous! I am nearly done and started yesterday. The pattern is easy to follow and the color is fantastic. Use one of the "painterly" yarns and it will look like you worked so hard on an easy pattern!
