GAUGE:
1 shell = 1.5 inches high and 2.3 inches wide When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Making a Gauge Swatch
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

STITCH EXPLANATION:
Shell Into back loop only of indicated stitch, (4 tr, ch 1, 4 tr).

NOTES:
1.

Yarn must be cut at the end of each row, and new color attached at the beginning (the same side of the blanket is always facing you as you work).

2.

Blanket is worked with two strands of the same color held together.
