GAUGE:
10 1/4 sc + 12 3/4 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

INSTRUCTIONS
BLANKET
With A, ch 95.
Row 1 Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across - 94 sts
Row 2-5 Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across - 94 sts.
Fasten off A, change to MC.
Row 6 (WS) With MC, sc in each sc across.
Fasten off MC, change to next color.
Rep Rows 2-6 in the following color stripe sequence: (5 rows B, 1 row MC, 5 rows C, 1 row MC, 5 rows D, 1 row MC, 5 rows E, 1 row MC, 5 rows A*, 1 row MC) 4 times, ending at * on last repeat.
EDGING
Rnd 1 With RS facing, attach MC at top right corner; work 3 sc in first sc, sc across top edge, 3 sc in last sc; rotate blanket to side, sc evenly along side edge; rotate blanket to bottom, 3 sc in first ch of foundation ch, sc across beg ch edge, 3 sc in last ch; rotate blanket and sc evenly along rem side, join with sIip st in top of beg sc.
Rnd 2 (WS) Ch 1, turn; sc evenly around, working 3 sc in each corner; join with sIip st in top of beg sc.
Rnd 3 (WS) Ch 1, DO NOT TURN; sc in first sc, (ch 1, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc) around, adjusting for corners; join with sIip st in top of beg sc.
Fasten off.
