GAUGE:

8 sc = 4 in. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Hooded Bobble Baby Blanket Reviewed by Sandra Kottler on 2008-05-12 *****
I made this pattern (I had already done two of the hooded blankets and wanted to try it again with the bobbles). I made it in yellow, too. I thought the original pattern was too small so I made a longer chain and "eyeballed" the hood until it was the size I wanted. Great pattern. Sandy
