GAUGE:
Each square measure approximately 8 inches x 8 inches. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

This again was a first for me. My mother crocheted all of my life. Was funny I could read a pattern but never crocheted. After she passed away I started to crochet. Made this fairly simply. I think the way I put it together wasnt exactly right but its one of my favorites. Easy to follow pattern and quick to make. Very pretty when done
