13 sts and 9 rows = 4 inches in dc. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If you want a fast, easy gift that looks terrific, this is the set to make! I was able to finish the bath mitt in less than an hour and a half and the washcloth took even less time, all the while watching/listening to television. Perfect gift that can be paired with some bath gel and body lotion - I'm making a bunch for holiday gifts. The directions were clear and easy to follow and my items look just like the ones in the photo. I might personalize some of them with a contasting color cotton yarn at the mitt's cuff and cloth's outer edge. Thanks Lion Brand for another winning pattern!
