GAUGE:
Exact size and gauge are not important to this project. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

DOG TOY
1. Choose 3 colors of wool-ease chunky yarn
2. Cut 11 20" inch [approximately 51 cm] long pieces of each color of yarn.
3. Place all yarn together, tying it tightly together with one knot at the end
4. Group the yarn into sections by color and braid the 3 colored sections together, leaving room at the end for another knot.
5. Tie another tight knot at the end (the tighter the better, you don't want any yarn coming loose during play!)
