GAUGE:
8 stitches = 4" (10 cm); Rows 1-3 = 21⁄2" (6.5 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

STITCH EXPLANATION:
Single crochet 2 together (single crochet decrease) Insert hook into stitch and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next stitch and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook. Shell [3 double crochet, chain 2, 3 double crochet] in same stitch.

NOTES:
Wrap is made of 2 halves worked off a center foundation chain.
