2 in. [5 cm] wide satin ribbon, 48 in. [122 cm] long, in Matching sewing thread and sewing needle
GAUGE:
10 sts + 21 rows = 4" [10 cm] in Garter stitch (knit every row) with 1 strand each of A and B held together. 8 sts + 14 rows = 4" [10 cm] in Stockinette stitch (k on RS, p on WS) with C. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

STITCH EXPLANATION:
ssk (slip, slip, knit) Slip next 2 sts as if to knit, 1 at a time, to right needle; insert left needle into fronts of these 2 sts and knit them together.

NOTES:
Capelet is knit with 2 strands of Fun Fur held together. Lining is worked with 1 strand of Chenille Thick & Quick.

INSTRUCTIONS

CAPELET With 1 strand each of A and B held tog, cast on 133 sts. Row 1 K 19, (place marker, k 19) 6 times. Row 2 (Knit to 2 sts before marker, k2tog, slip marker) 3 times, k 19, (slip marker, ssk, knit to marker) 2 times, slip marker (sm), ssk, knit to end. Rows 3-6 Knit. Repeat Rows 2-6 for 10 more times - 67 sts. Bind off. LINING With C, cast on 105 sts. Row 1 P 15, (pm, p 15) 6 times. Row 2 (Knit to 2 sts before marker, k2tog, sm) 3 times, k 15, (sm, ssk, knit to marker) 2 times, sm, ssk, knit to end. Row 3 Purl. Row 4 Knit. Row 5 Purl. Repeat Rows 2-5 for 8 more times - 51 sts. Bind off. Finishing Place wrong sides of capelet and lining together and sew with matching thread. Cut ribbon in half (2 lengths of 24" [61 cm]) and sew to inside front collar. Cut "V" shape into ribbon ends
