GAUGE:
10 sts + 9 rows = 4" [10 cm] in garter stitch (knit every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.
NOTES:
Scarf is knitted with 1 strand of Fun Fur and 1 strand of Trellis held together throughout.
INSTRUCTIONS
SCARF
With 1 strand of Fun Fur in color A and 1 strand of Trellis, cast on 6 stitches.
Knit every row until piece measures 18 inches [45.5 cm] from beginning.
Tie on a strand of color B and cut color A and continue to knit every row.
Work in garter stitch until piece measures 36 inches [91 cm].
Loosely bind off all stitches.
Weave in ends.
Fringe
Cut 40 pieces of Trellis 16 inches long.
For each fringe, hold 4 strands of yarn together and fold in half.
Use crochet hook to draw fold through edge of Scarf, forming a loop.
Pull ends of fringe through this loop.
Pull to tighten.
Make 5 fringe along each short side.
Trim fringe if necessary.
