GAUGE:
18 sts + 26 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Stockinette st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

INSTRUCTIONS

DRESS With A, cast on 20 sts. Rows 1-2 knit Row 3 Knit Row 4 Purl Row 5-16 rep rows 3 and 4 Row 17 K4, knit into the back and front of next st (increase made), k to last 5 stitches, increase in next stitch, k to end of row - 22 stitches. Row 18 Purl Row 19 K6, knit into the back and front of next st (increase made), k to last 6 stitches, increase in next stitch, k to end of row - 24 stitches. Row 20 Purl Row 21 Knit Row 22 Purl Row 23 K 4, bind off next 4 sts, k to last 8 stitches, bind off 4, k 4. Row 24 Change to B, K 4, cast on 4, knit 8, cast on 4, k 4 Rows 25-28 Knit Bind off FINISHING Sew center back seam. Weave in ends.
