GAUGE: 9 sts and 18 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in garter stitch (knit every row)
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

BLANKET
Cast on 5 stitches. Knit 1 row.
Next row Knit 3, yo, k 2.
Next row Knit 3, yo, k 3.
Next row Knit 3, yo, knit to end.
Repeat last row until there are 126 stitches on needle.
Next Decrease Row Knit 2, k2tog, yo, k2tog, k to end.
Repeat last row until there are 7 stitches on needle.
Next Decrease Row Knit 2, k2tog, k2tog, k to end.
Bind off remaining 5 stitches.

| I do love this pattern...very easy. I use higher end yarn (Such as Alpaca or thick super soft wool) and it has been well received.I hate using a pattern and have gotten frustrated many times with knitting, putting aside half completed projects..I have completed this project...plus the simple stripe garter stitch blanket (which takes twice as long)Practical is even better and this pattern is practical..not sure I like the yarn...but there are optional yarns that can be used and you can easily adapt...
