Yes, this is a firm favourite. I made one for a friend's baby. The baby loved it so much that it wore out, and so I had to make another for the baby! If you stop knitting half way through and cast off, you end up with a triangular shawl which is nice. You can knit them any size. Try one for a doll! If you have a limited amount of yarn, knit up half of your yarn, and then start decreasing with the second half of your yarn.
