GAUGE:
5 sts = 3 inches. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

With A, cast on 75 sts.
Row 1 (RS) With A, k.
Row 2 With A, k.
Row 3 With B, k 1, *sl 1, k 1, rep from * across row.
Row 4 With B, k 1, *sl 1 wyif, k 1 wyib, rep from * across row.
Row 5 With A, k.
Row 6 With A, k.
Row 7 With B, k 2, *sl 1, k 1, rep from * across row, end k 2.
Row 8 With B, k 2, *sl 1 wyif, k 1 wyib, rep from * across row, end k 2.
Rep Rows 1-8 until throw measures approximately 58 inches or desired length, ending with Row 4 or Row 8.
Rep Rows 1 and 2 once.
Bind off loosely.
