GAUGE: 12 sts + 19 rows = 4” [10 cm] in St st (k on RS, p on WS) with A on largest needles.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

| Baby Animal 'Panda Bear' Hat Reviewed by Margaret on 2009-07-06 |

| I made this for my brother in the Air Force, no man in the armed forces should be without a classy panda hat. It was very simple to do and instead of making the cylandrical nose, I just embroidered the mouth and nose on it.
