Moss Stitch Afghan
Lion Brand® Wool-Ease® Thick & Quick®
GAUGE:
8 sts + 12 rows = 4" (10 cm) in pattern st.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION:
STITCH PATTERN (worked on an odd number of sts) Rows 1, 3, 4 and 6 *P 1, k 1; repeat from * to last st, p 1. Rows 2 and 5 *K 1, p 1; repeat from * to last st, k 1. Repeat Rows 1-6 for pattern.
AFGHAN (Throw/Lapghan)
Cast on 81 (89) sts. Work in pattern for 45 (50) inches, ending with pattern Row 2 or 5. Last Row Work in pattern Row 3 or 6, binding off in pattern across row. Weave in ends.
Fringe (optional)
Wind yarn around 9" piece cardboard and cut strands at one end (18" pieces). Holding 5 strands at a time, fold in half; insert crochet hook or fingers from back to front and pull middle through to back of Afghan or Throw. Pull ends through loop and adjust knot. Repeat at base of every other knit st across cast-on and bound-off edges. Trim. Note Fringe will use 115 (105) yds. of yarn. If less yarn remains, use 4 strands for fringe to make fringe slightly less full.

Made this afghan using 2 skeins each of pumpkin, russet and 3 of fisherman. Beautiful results and super simple.
